Perfect for day travel with laptop. Nice material and value for money. Best backpack everGreat backpack for collegeGreat backpack from Osprey. Love the minimal design of the color black. Feels like it will last a long time. At 28l capacity, it will definitely fulfill my one-bag needs.I upgraded from my 2012 North Face Borealis and what I noticed immediately is the lighter build of the Apogee. The space is also better distributed in the sense that it is longer than it is wide, so it fits my torso better and feels less bulky. My two minor complaints are, (1) I wish there was a way to stash the hip belt, just like with the Borealis. In the city, or for a pack that size, you won’t ever really need a hip belt. What I did instead was remove it altogether; and (2) the straps seem much closer together than the Borealis. I noticed that when I wear it it pinches my shirt collar at the back. Maybe over time the strap will loosen a bit. However, this is something I can live with. One other thing, although this is not so much a complaint than it is a suggestion. I wish there was one more large pocket in the outer compartment. There’s just so much space left for the three small pockets, they could have at least added one more large pocket or something similar. But, the tablet sleeve kind of makes up for it.Overall, I’d give it a 4/5. Happy with the purchase considering I got it under $100.So I just got this and I will update this review later, but so far it's a nice looking bag. There are three pockets, the small one on the very back, then a full length pocket after that (this goes down to the bottom of the bag). Followed by the larger laptop section. There are only three organizational pockets in the middle compartment. These look like they will hold a phone or passport, or something a little larger. I did notice that it keeps my passport in and quite secure. The larger compartment has one laptop sleeve and a magazine sleeve. Besides that, there is one fully open water bottle holder. It's really nice as it holds the bottle so it won't fall out, no matter how you are holding the bag. I was able to get a fairly large 24 oz. insulated bottle in it. You might be able to go larger but the pocket is made of thin material which might be an issue. There is another similar water bottle pocket on the other side but its sealed shut in the middle. Not sure what the deal is with this as you can't reach into it to get anything. I suppose you could cut the sewn tab and then have two bottle pockets. The bag isn't going to look as smooth as it does in the photo (unless you stuff it with cotton or something). But it still looks nice. The back is vented with raised ridges. The zippers look well made. The bag sits up a little high, which I like the feel of. It also looks to hold its shape relatively well when you add things. I travel for work about 40% and plan to use it for that. Looks like it should have no issue fitting under the seat. One last thing, the straps that fit over the zipper (compression straps) do tuck away, I don't see much need for them and it's nice not to have to undo them every time you open the bag. This ? is bigger than I expected it to be plus I did some measurements. I fitted a 14 inches laptop into the laptop sleeves. I am very excited about the hidden water sleeves at bottom sides of the backpack.. Osprey didn't disappoint me at all. I am very pleased ? ?Continuamente estoy viajando por trabajo y me ha resultado perfecta, es la mejor compra del 2021, como equipaje de mano va de maravilla en los aviones, o para el diario en el trabajo, si va vacía se comprime y no es bultosa.I’m torn. I want to love this backpack, but I can’t. I like a lot of things about this backpack; the size, the sleekness, and the padding. But I don’t like the smaller compartments. Not quite big enough to put my Ti-84 plus CE calculator, the laptop compartment isn’t quite big enough for my Legion 5 pro (which is a 16-inch screen but is 17 in overall dimensions) the water bottle compartment is super cool but is pretty tight on my 32oz Nalgene. The nonscratch compartment is a little finicky to open, and the accessory compartment only has one zipper pull. I don’t need a massive travel backpack, but I want my laptop to be protected. Another big thing, the sternum strap, and the waist strap seem very thin, I would not use them when it's loaded, too much weight with not enough padding would likely hurt more using them than without. It seems my search for a great backpack will not end with the Apogee. Though if you don’t have a rather large laptop, and more travel-oriented interests. This may be for you. This pack has much more volume than it seems it would by the look of it. Isn’t that what we want? The vertical side volumes are perfect for making a tall water canteen and an extendable umbrella disappear. The top zip compartment is perfect for quick grabs while traveling. Great for both business use and touring.I love this product and I only feel bad for not buying one before. The material quality is impeccable, the pockets are very handy and the size is exactly what I wanted. The reason why I give it 5 stars is because it molds to my back as if it hugs me.I just had it in a 2 weeks vacation, and after seeing it and trying it, 2 friends will be submitting their orders as well. Also, the way it is built, it distributes the weight perfectly and you don't feel the real weight of the backpack. And did I mention the awesome hidden bottle pocket? And the fact that there are 2 of them, one on each side?It definitely won't be my last Osprey!I did lots of research for my new commuter rucksack and it's perfect (almost). Great balance of features and accessibility, super comfy and can fit all my stuff and 15'' laptop with ease.A raincover would be ace but sadly not included. The side pockets are great, and nearly invisible. The design means that fitting longer objects in can be a problem such as umbrellas. Brilliant overall, and better value than my previous NF equivalent.I really like this bag for work. It has separate slots in the main compartment for a tablet and a laptop and great amounts of space for everything. The soft pouch on the front is great for a phone and a kindle. The side bottle holders work surprisingly well too.I use this for business trips, it has ample room to carry a change of clothes, laptop etcoverall high quality but the shoulder straps are fraying a bit which i am quite disappointed aboutBought this and using it for a trip abroad. well worth the money !
