I purchased this screen to replace a broken screen on my daughter's laptop. I consider myself a fairly technical person. In fact I used to work in the Repair Shop of a local computer retailer. This item did not come with directions. I did find a very detailed You Tube video for my particular laptop model (they are not all the same). Anyway, I had to tear apart pretty much the entire laptop to get to the point of pulling the screen off the base of the laptop. Once that was done I was able to get the old screen out and replaced with the new one. Then, of course, put the whole thing back together again.So laptop is back together but in the process of doing all of this, I broke the new screen. So lesson learned for me. If I ever do this again, I will pay an expert to do it.I am not sure if its possible with a Dell Inspiron 15-3537, but if I could get the old screen out without pulling the entire thing apart, I think it would be possible to replace the screen without damaging it. Knowing what I know about the unit, I am not sure it is possible without damaging the case around the screen.When I unpacked it (which was not easy) I noticed that the top mounting tabs were bent. I worried that someone dropped it and I was about to install another bad screen. I flattened the tabs with duck-billed pliers, and had it up and running in a bout 15-minutes or less. I agree that the picture is as good if not better than the original. I don't believe in dinging the seller or the product just because the shipping company was careless.Saved my laptop. A little challenging to install, but Youtube helped.Screen is slightly brighter than the original screen from Dell. The colors are slightly dialuted. One bad thing about this screen is that the clip is bent. This happens because the seller decides to put dowels in the package. When the box takes impact, it compresses the clip which causes it to bend. I unbent it with a pair of pliers and it seems fine.I purchased this screen because my screen was slowly loosing pixels. Seeing as things have been busy and my screen was slowly getting worse I put it off too long. When I open up the box and installed the new screen it did not work. I contacted Amazon staff and they contacted Bright Focal about returning or replacing a defective product. Bright Focal decline to replace or refund the purchase because it was more than the 30 day window allowed.DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU PLAN TO INSTALL IMMEDIATELYHave a nice day.Good product.
