I carried my previous bag for over ten and it needed to be replaced because the leather get torn. This new bag has the exact same style, front pockets and compartments and is exactly the same size as the previous bag. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the leather, the stitching and the hardware. I placed all my stuff in exactly the same places and carried it two work for a couple of weeks before writing this review. The shoulder strap has a wide padded area for carrying comfort. The handles are also comfortable with rolled leather. It has an inside pocket that fits my iPad perfectly with a strap over the top to secure the iPad with Velcro. The only feature that I'm not sure is useful is having a zipper at the top and bottom on the rear pocket to allow you to slip your roller board handle through the pocket to carry the bag hooked to the handle. I think I will just use the handles over the roller board handle so as not to damage the rear zippers or stretch out the leather. over all I am very happy with this bag and hope to get at least ten years of service.I looked high and low for a nice leather bag, and this one seemed to fit the bill. But the leather is so stiff that I wonder if it's really leather at all. I'm not talking about the rounded trim edges, which are obviously vinyl. No, this is the main material of the bag - it's just so stiff and grainy that I constantly look at it and wonder.It fits my 15.4" laptop well, which is mainly what I wanted it for, so I can't complain. But it seems to have very little internal space otherwise, especially for a bag that's so big and clunky on the outside (reverse Tardis?). The nylon strap is also pretty cheap looking, and doesn't really match the look of the bag. I replaced it with a strap from another bag.The bag I received differed slightly from the picture for this item. My bag has an extra fourth pocket on the bottom right of the front, while the picture only shows three pockets on the front. That was actually a pleasant surprise.If I'd seen this item in person in a store, I'm not sure I would have bought it. The leather is just "off" looking.I pondered over getting a Prada or Gucci then came across this product. At about 1/15 of the price, I'm quite satisfied and it serves my purpose, which is carrying bulky multiple-keys and conveniently slipping in my cell phone, with my laptop, and also I can slip in my coffee container on the right pocket which fits perfectly, and also a couple of thin office files. I am not a fan of made in china product, and I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see it was not made in china. Anyway I am overall very satisfied with the product, and it doesn't look cheap so you will not be embarrassed to carry this around to any place. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it does not have any inside zippered pockets inside. Most people would be ok with it but I wish I could put something inside like my check books and SD card etc., that wouldn't fall out of the pocket.I did my research before I decided to buy this. I went in with a budget in mind then I looked at all different options and pros and cons from every possible purchase and its reviews. I finally decided to go with this bag because it fit exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need a bag for a lap top or tablet. I needed enough room for books and note pads, pens, pencils and my water bottle!My first impression when I opened the box was, AWESOME! I got exactly what I paid for and it's exactly as its described( both quality and dimensions)The zippers are sturdy. The strap buckles are strong. The strap padding is comfortable and well padded. (And detachable)I'm very happy with my purchase because it is exactly what I read it was and wanted to spend.I highly recommend it!Just know that if you're looking for an EXTREMELY padded lap top insert, this is probably not for you. However the little tablet insert is.Be careful, the statement "Back compartment padded to protect most laptops up to 17" in size" on the descriptions is a wrong one for the "new" 17" 6:9 screen laptop. I ordered it by mistake and returned. In fact I have been using this model for more than 3 years for my old 15" laptop and it is a durable and heavy-duty case. However, with normal daily usage, the shoulder strap hooks will be broken in 3 years. When you find something a little bit wrong with the hooks, be sure to replace the shoulder strap immediately before your laptop is dropped on the ground.Nice large bag. Leather is stiff and holds up more like a solid side briefcase. Holds documents without wrinkling. Holds a 17" laptop as well. Plenty of room. Wide enough for even a water bottle. The shoulder strap is well padded so you will not need to buy another one. Plenty of pockets on the outside for those items you need fast access to. Two major compartments. One with dividers and a velcro closure pocket. The other one has no dividers. There is also a pocket on the back that has two zippers. Upper and lower. It can double as a slide over for your suitcase handle or keep the lower zipper closed and use it as an additional storage pocket. Overall very good looking bag with a sturdy feel. I tried some canvas/leather bags but they always folded onto themselves and crumpled any documents I was carrying. Worth the extra money for a bag that appears will last a long time.The leather is a bit stiff but hopefully it will soften up with use. Looks nice, professional, shoulder strap is comfortable. Laptop fits in but slightly too tall to allow me to close the zipper (I'm ok with this but it's something for a buyer to consider). Lots of storage pockets. Good value and I would buy it again. I'm retired now but wanted a nice briefcase for traveling and hopefully this will be my last one.This is a really great case. It is just the right size, not too big and still lots of room for paperwork, a tablet, and small accessories. It seems very sturdy, but not too heavy. It appears that it should last a long time. Although it is mostly leather, it is obvious that some of the trim is at best, pleather. That is why I gave it only 4 stars.
